Mihai Caramihai is a University Professor at University POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania. His work now focuses on IT application in life sciences, more specific in the biotechnology area (cell metabolic pathways modelling, bio-process modelling, control and optimization, etc) Before coming to University POLITEHNICA, Prof Caramihai has been involved in the research area, at the Research Institute for Chemistry and Biochemistry, Bucharest. He is member of 4 Royal Societies and more than 20 professional associations worldwide. M. Caramihai earned a bachelor of science in (bio)informatics and a doctorate in IT from the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest

Biography
Dr. Mohamed S. Salama graduated from Ain Shams University (ASU) and was the top of list of graduates. He was hired by ASU in 1979, he got his M.Sc. in 1985 and his Ph.D in 1990 when he travelled to USA on a Peace Fellowship in the University of California, (Riverside).He stayed in the USA as a postdoctoral fellow till 1994. He was promoted a full professor in 2001. In Ain Shams University he was the director of the Central Lab.of the Faculty of Science in 2001-2003, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science in 2003-2007, Dean of the Faculty of Science in 2007-2009, Vice-President of ASU in 2009-2011, Acting President of ASU in 2011. In 1994 he won the State Prize in biological sciences from the National Academy of Science (Egypt). In the same year he won the Award of The Third World Academy of Science, TWAS (Italy) for young scientists. In 2015 he won Ain Shams Prize of Honor. Along his career he had many certificates of honor red in the nationally and internationally. He published over 100 scientific research papers, he has 4 patents in the field of molecular biology. He has long history of scientific collaboration with national and international institutes and scientists. He established molecular biology labs and research units in many places in Egypt and organized over 100 training workshops in molecular biology from 1994 up till now.

Biography
Dr. Musallam is the Head of Clinical Genetic, Genetic counseling & Educational department of the national genetic center (NGC) at the Royal Hospital. He is a Member of the GCC genetic evaluation & assessment committee. He was awarded a certificate of merit from the government of Oman in the year 2011 for identifying and characterizing a novel disorder of inherited childhood blindness (named FHONDA syndrome) and published in 2013. He established and is the chief organizer of the first core Genetic Counseling course in Oman and the Gulf region. Dr Musallam is also a regular reviewer for the Oman Medical Journal.
